Aims:
- Understand the basics of aligner mechanics
- Understand the limitations of aligners
- Understand how to use aligners efficiently
- Understand and be able to perform accurate case selection
Objectives:
- Be able to diagnose cases best suited for aligner therapies and those which would require more enhanced/efficient methodologies and be able to understand the limitations of the same.
- Understand how aligners work, the importance of attachment selection and other methods to enhance vertical, anterior-posterior and transverse movements in orthodontics.
- Finally, the student will also be shown different auxilliaries and adjunctive components of aligner therapies to ensure safe, efficient and predictable movements.

Dr Inés Frühbeck
LECTURER, BDS (MADRID), ORTHODONTIST (ADVANCED PROGRAM IN ORTHODONTICS NYU), CERTIFICATE IN ORTHODONTIC EDUCATION (NYU)
Inés earned her dental degree at the European University of Madrid, Spain in 2009, after which she moved to the U.K. to work as a general dental practitioner, gaining experience in both NHS and private practice. In 2011 she moved to New York to pursue her passion in Orthodontics at the speciality program at New York University. There she was involved in the educational track, teaching Orthodontics to undergraduate students and being awarded a Certificate in Orthodontic Education. Additionally, she worked in two private orthodontic practices in New York before returning to London to continue her career as an orthodontist. Inés is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society and regularly attends annual orthodontic meetings held around the world.
